Please 'splain what that is. All I can remember from my time in UK are F&Chips; Cadbury Chocolate; better CocaCola than here; and Wheatabix(sp?). Oh yes, Beano .
Indeed that is the way we do it here in the U.K .. what you need to ask for is a Patty Butty .. thats with a Bread-cake and not a roll ! .. you aint lived until youve munched on a Patty Butty !

<font size="4" face="Arial">If you go to any "beach fries"-type place on the east coast, that is precisely what they sell. They have decanters of malt vinegar on the counter so you can put in on the fries yourself, or not.Originally posted by Carl I.:
Malt vinegar on fries (chips) is killer! That's the British way, correct? Most people look at you like your high when you do that in the States. But vinegar and salt, yum. But I prefer them with just the salt also.
Something else I used to get years ago was saltwater taffy and caramel popcorn. YUMMMM!!!!!!!!!!
Long John Silvers has the malt vinegar decanters also.
Salt Water Taffy is a standard in my house much of the time. My wife makes the best friggin' caramel corn you will ever encounter! When she does a batch, she usually has to do numerous batches because of all the requests we have started getting for it.
Yeah? Does she make the taffy as well? How would a midwesterner such as yourself know about that sort of thing anyway? I thought that sort of thing was more coastal than anything else.
Got any samples ??

I agree with SJ on the Poison one. The fun party band disappeared when CC got ditched. I didn't like the bluesy Richie Kotzen era very much.
Nope, she doesn't do the taffy.
I know about it because I am a bit of an "old fashioned candy" geek. Just like I am about anything "old fashioned".
I would gladly send you a sample of the caramel corn...but that would mean divulging some info. So...yeah...doubt it...
You're right, I don't see that happening. Shame, as I would like to have had some of it. Once bitten, twice shy.
Damn, you've got me on a caramel corn jones now...
